60sec Intimacy

What started out as a simple, intimate photoshoot featuring a heterosexual couple, my project “60-second Intimacy” evolved into something more profound. And it was all because of our thirst to step out of our comfort zones and color outside the lines of social boundaries.

Joyen suggested to have the photoshoot with one of her closest friends, Charlie, instead of a male model. We simply lit the room with candles and let the models explore each other. What happened next proved that intimacy is such a fascinating thing to behold. Like gender itself, intimacy is fluid— flowing like a river, taking different forms.

Intimacy is not just about being naked with someone or pressing lips upon skin—but most importantly, it’s about connecting from soul to soul.
